Erzeuger frischer Ideen


Picvert ist ein unabhängiger landwirtschaftlicher Familienbetrieb, der seit mehreren Generationen in der französischen Region Picardie ansässig ist. Betreiber Jacques Deramecourt ist Anfang der 1990er Jahre in das Unternehmen eingestiegen und setzte den Fokus auf die Produktion von Pflücksalaten. Traditionell baut Picvert auf den fruchtbaren Lehmböden Amiens in der Nähe des Meeres Feldfrüchte wie Getreide, Kartoffeln und Zuckerrüben an. Integriert in diese typische Fruchtfolge sind verschiedene Qualitätssortimente wie Gemüse, Sprossen und Salate. Diese baut der Betrieb Sommers wie Winters an, vorgewaschen, waschfertig aus ökologischer und nachhaltiger Landwirtschaft. Da Picvert auf den Anbau in beheizten Gewächshäusern verzichtet, zieht der Betrieb insbesondere für den Anbau von Baby Leafs genannten Pflücksalaten und Mini-Gemüse im Winter um auf seine Güter in den wärmeren Gefilde Portugals. Seit 2007 sitzt Picvert südlich von Lissabon in seinem „Lagoon Garden“ am Rande des Atlantischen Ozeans Inmitten von Korkeichenwäldern auf sandigen Böden. Denn die südliche Sonne liefert die für die Winterproduktion notwendige Wärme, und der Seewind kühlt die Pflanzen in sehr heißen Perioden.
