Da sich dort auch die größte Maisanbauregion der USA befindet, der sogenannte Cornbelt, werden die Tiere auch nur mit bestem Mais gefüttert. Aufgrund der Zufütterung mit Maiskörnern bildet das Rindfleisch eine ausgeprägte Marmorierung, die dem Beef einen besonderen Geschmack verleiht.
